Longwood Park is a housing association with a difference. Run by residents for residents, it was set up to manage the running and maintenance of the Common Road estate in Langley, formerly owned by Slough Borough Council. In addition, it is different because we're in the middle of a £30m regeneration scheme transforming the estate.

Our aim is to create and develop a community in which people are proud to live which offers a good and decent environment.

Gas Safety Changes

From 1st April 2009, the CORGI gas registration scheme is no longer recognised by law as the gas safety register and has been be replaced by the Gas Safe Register.

The old, widely recognised orange CORGI logo will no longer be an indication of the competence of an engineer to undertake work on gas installations and appliances.  It will be replaced by the yellow triangular Gas Safe Register logo shown on the card below.

Every engineer is required to carry a Gas Safe Register ID card with their own unique licence number (see example below). The back of the card shows the type of gas work they are qualified to do. Before any gas work is carried out, always make sure you ask to see the engineer's Gas Safe Register ID card.

Residents rewarded for restoring pride to Longwood Park

Residents accept Slough Civic AwardLongwood Park, an estate in Langley, Berkshire, has received another award to add to its, already impressive, collection. The awards have been presented in recognition of the stunning turnaround of this once condemned community into one of the most desirable addresses in the area, with a list of people queuing up to move in.

This remarkable transformation is all down to the residents of Longwood Park, with the support of Windsor Housing, part of Radian. More

You Decide LogoNew members welcomed to Community Board

Demonstrating that Longwood Park residents really care about their community, there was a high turn out for the community’s first contested Community Board elections. As part of the 'You Decide' event all residents were invited to self-nominate themselves. The winning candidates after a close contest were Shakuntala Patel, Linda Hodge, Gareth Clarke, David Gealy and Rick Wiggins.
